A waterproof housing alone doesn't stop condensation from forming inside a fixture over time. The X1820 adds an internal moisture-proof electronic coating on top of its IP65 housing, giving the electronics an extra layer of protection against humidity in long-term outdoor installations.
Wiring multiple fixtures individually adds setup time and cable clutter. The X1820's daisy-chain power and signal connections let units link directly to each other, simplifying cabling across a row of fixtures on a long facade.
